Paper Abstract: Promotion plan for 'Natural Light' beer. Objectives, recommendations, background, pricing, etc. Tables.
Paper Introduction: In 1861, Adolphus Busch married the daughter of Eberhard Anheuser, a St. Louis beer brewer and soap maker. By 1874, Adolphus was a full partner in his father-in-law's business, and in 1876, he created the Budweiser brand. Budweiser (named for a town in Bohemia) became America's first nationally marketed beer and Adolphus' progeny became masters of the company which sells more beer than any other in the world. This research examines the beverage industry in general and the beer industry in particular. Focus is directed to the demographics of beer drinkers and the marketing techniques employed by the beer industry. Finally, a promotional plan is presented for one of Anheuser Busch's products, Natural Light.
Per capita consumption of beverages gives an indication of the attraction to companies such as Anheuser-Busch and Miller

Paper Abstract: Analysis of company's strategivc option of entering the long distance market. History of company; 1984 breakup; analog-digital "war." Market analysis. SWOT analysis. Media strategy.
Paper Introduction: Executive Summary
This paper is a consideration of Bell Atlantic’s strategic option of entering the long distance market. The recommendation for entering this market is supported by the financial evidence presented in the first part of the paper, which shows that even though Bell Atlantic’s Q3 loss was substantial, the growth in recurring revenues, core businesses, and new business products all showed exceptional growth.
The company section focuses briefly on the history of the company following the 1984 breakup, and concludes with a discussion of the analog-digital war. A market analysis section shows the size of the potential of the long distance market, and a SWOT analysis summarizes the company’s status quo in 1997, an essential consideration when pursuing a new entry.

Paper Introduction: Introduction
Until recent years, American women did not consider bath supplies (such as lotions, soaps and related products) important enough for retailers to open shops devoted exclusively to these items. Department stores sold upscale makeup products, and bath items were generally sold as adjuncts to these types of products. Perfumes, bath lotions (and powders) and makeup were often placed together in department store layouts. Women (and nearly all of the customers for these types of products are women) could also purchase some items at discount stores and mass retailers, but these outlets typically did not carry an extensive line. That changed when the Body Shop, an English company, opened a store in the United States selling not only bath products, but products which focused on health and beauty and which created an entire image about the brand and

Paper Abstract: Problems encountered in "Pokeman" tie-in. Public relations efforts re: recall of dangerous toys. Lawsuits; reintroducing toys.
Paper Introduction: It is common practice in the fast food business to develop tie-ins with movies, television shows, and related products with an appeal to young people and families and to do so by offering toys, games, and other products connecting the fast food store to the popular film, program, or character. However, there is also a danger in doing this because such tie-ins are often made long before the release of a movie and so may fail if the movie is not popular. In other cases, some different issue may arise to throw the campaign in a bad light. In the case of the recent problem facing Burger King with its tie-in to the Pokemon characters, the problem was in the packaging. The tiny images of the Pokemon characters were delivered in plastic eggs which, if played with by very young children, could cover the child's mouth and nose and bring about suffocation. This is a nightmare

Paper Abstract: Overview of socio-cultural differences between Japan & U.S., economics; Japanese marketing environment in relation to Coca-Cola Company.
Paper Introduction: INTRODUCTION
In spite of all of the rhetoric, the American trade deficit with Japan remains in excess of $50 billion per year (Neff, Magnusson, and Holstein 44-52). Increasing trade with Japan is important to the United States in the context of its international trade imbalance, and it is important to individual firms because Japan represents a major, affluent market in which American firms, on the whole, have achieved but limited success (Enright 2-5).
The purpose of this research is to examine the process of marketing an Americanmade product in Japan. In this research, the firm which is the focus of study is the Coca Cola Company.
The company's operations are considered within the context of the marketing of its soft drink beverages in Japan. Any firm

Paper Abstract: Marketing problems associated with introduction of PowerMaster beer, aimed at African-Amer. consumers.
Paper Introduction: G. Heileman Brewing Company faces the problem of being among the top five brewers in the United States, but having a market share which is well below the top three. At this point, companies in this segment can gain market share by drawing existing customers away from competing brands within the same product category, or by offering new products which bring new customers to the company's products, and possibly into the product as a whole. Thus companies introduced 'dry' and 'light' beers in order to appeal to consumers who did not otherwise drink beer, or who did not consume as much as the manufacturers desired.
This was the attraction to introducing PowerMaster. Heileman already markets Colt 45, a malt liquor which contains significantly higher alcohol per volume than traditional beer. Howev

Paper Abstract: Examines economic context & background for G.M. to market its Saturn into a key foreign market. Saturn's succes in Japanese marketplace. Japanese consumer loyalty.
Paper Introduction: This research examines the entry of an American automobile company, General Motors' Saturn, into Japan. The plan of the research will be to set forth the economic context and background for Saturn's entry into a key foreign market and then to cite factors of that entry that may help forecast future lines of market development for the brand there.
The economically depressed situation of the major American automobile manufacturers in the mid-1980s owed much to the strength of competition from Japanese automobile manufacturers. By 1985 American auto manufacturing plants had an antique quality about them, being plagued by assembly line labor disputes and compared unfavorably to the robotics-driven assembly lines of Japanese automobile makers. By 1985, foreign auto-makers controlled approximately 30 per cent of the American car m

Paper Abstract: Examines marketing strategy for new razor & effectiveness of campaign. Pricing, distribution, development, promotion, more.
Paper Introduction: Introduction
More than 20 years ago, NBC's late night comedy show "Saturday Night Live" parodied Gillette's then-popular Trac II razor with a mock commercial advertising the TripleTrac. The TripleTrac featured three blades and a lengthy discussion (including animations similar to those used in the Trac II commercials) showing why three blades were better than one or two. The mock commercial ended with the tag line, "Because you'll believe anything." In mid-1998, Gillette introduced its MACH3 razor, a product which brought back memories of the "Saturday Night Live" parody to some consumers, but which was brought to market after considerable time and effort in development. This research examines the company's marketing strategy with regard to the MACH3, and considers whether the early results indicate tha

Paper Introduction: Case Study: “Godiva Europe”
Introduction
Godiva Chocolates, according to the case study is considered the “Queen of Chocolates.” However, as the case study also points out, the “Queen” is facing troubles gaining and keeping market share, and, as is the case with royalty throughout the world, is considered a bit expensive, and perhaps redundant. However, as the case study points out, the company has a recognized world brand, a brand name, unfortunately that suggests high price rather than quality. This paper, following a brief explanation of how Godiva makes its chocolates, will then examine the problems attendant to the brand in Europe, and will conclude with ideas to revitalize the sales of the product in Europe.

Paper Introduction: How McDonald's Markets Its Products in England
Summary
McDonald's is an international restaurant business, with franchises and owner-operated stores throughout the world. There are over 15,000 locations in 79 countries and a new McDonald's restaurant opens every 13 hours. 85% of the restaurants are independently owned and operated, with company-run stores making up the other 15%. Stock increased by 16% in 1994, and 25% of all McDonald's stock is owned by employees, licensees, and suppliers (McDonald's, 1997).
Determining relative data on the marketing of McDonald's products throughout England became a somewhat challenging and daunting task, inasmuch as there is a large amount of material available both in printed form and on the Worldwide Web. Not
